Planet Fitness is opening a new gym in downtown New Orleans, taking over a massive, vacant space in the Central Business District, the company said Wednesday in a news release.

The lease signing marks the completion of retail leasing at Estela, with all 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space now fully occupied.

Food Market will lease 2,156 square feet on the street level with an additional 887 square feet in the cellar of Estela’s ground-floor retail space. With the addition of Food Market, the 10,000 square feet of retail space at Estela, 414 and 445 Gerard Ave., is fully leased.
