“Domain is proud to bring The Shop to one of New Orleans’ most vibrant neighborhoods,” said Matt Schwartz, Principal at The Domain Companies. “It’s a tremendous resource for the community, one that will serve as a network for the city’s brightest innovators. The Shop will strengthen the growing entrepreneurial fabric of Downtown New Orleans, bringing together a diverse community of professionals, businesses, and cultural organizations making an impact.”
The Shop is the first of its kind in New Orleans to combine an exceptional design and benefits/services platform with the programming and collaborative partnerships needed to reflect national models of economic growth.
Designed by AIA-award-winning firm Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, The Shop preserves classic Warehouse District architecture while incorporating modern elements. Occupying the third and fourth floors of the CAC, the light-filled space features high ceilings with exposed beams, large windows, an expansive art collection, and a flowing, open floor plan.
All memberships include full access to the Commons amenity space, community resources and events, conference room usage, and business-class printing. High-speed internet is accessible from all workspaces. Utilities and janitorial/maintenance services are included, as is mail/package delivery from a staffed reception desk. Seven conference rooms are fully-equipped with the latest AV technology.
The heart of The Shop is the extensive Commons amenity area that spans two floors of art-filled space connected by an open architectural staircase. Amenities include a full kitchen with coffee and beer on draft, varied work and lounge configurations, and a roof deck and garden. The Commons is the ideal venue for The Shop’s valuable programming tailored for growing and arts/cultural-based businesses.
An affordable, comprehensive benefits platform offers up to a 40-percent discount on health insurance, 401K plans, and business services. The Shop offers secure, 24/7 keyless access; onsite car and bike parking and bike-share services; and pet-friendly private offices.
The Shop’s membership packages are offered in four tiers, and allow for streamlined, app-based access to all benefits.
