Principals Matt Schwartz and Chris Papamichael named Tulane Entrepreneurs of the Year

The Domain Companies’ Matt Schwartz and Chris Papamichael were named the Tulane Distinguished Entrepreneurs of the Year for 2016 at the Albert Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Awards Gala on Friday, April 15.

Chris and Matt began their careers in New York but returned to New Orleans, both for their love of the city and their belief in the power of mixed-income, mixed use developments to enact positive and lasting social, economic and physical change,” said Ira Solomon, Dean of the Freeman School of Business.

Matt (’99) and Chris (’96) met at Tulane where they were fraternity brothers. Since returning to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, Matt and Chris have pushed The Domain Companies to the forefront of the New Orleans real estate development market with projects ranging from mixed-income developments along Tulane Avenue to the creation of the South Market District in Downtown.

Past recipients of the Tulane honor include Ms. Ti Marin of Commander’s Palace, William A. Goldring of Republic Beverages,  and Albert Lepage of Lepage Bakeries.
