Charity Hospital on Tulane Avenue has sat abandoned since Hurricane Katrina. Now, a $500M+ Tulane University-led project aimed at turning the former hospital into a mix of apartments, research labs and retail is moving forward. Tulane and its partners in the project said in October that they hope to move in by 2027.

Construction is rising on Jasper, Domain's 13-story residential building in Long Island City. Designed by S9 Architects, the 125-foot fall structure will span 550,000 SF and yield 499 units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with 150 reserved for affordable housing
