Giving Back With Domain’s MyCommunity Program

At Domain Companies, we are committed to engaging with and giving back to the communities in which we build. We strive for the highest level of corporate citizenship by maximizing impact and positive change in our communities through our MyCommunity program. We support at-risk populations, workforce development, and community renewal on the local level. MyCommunity encompasses corporate donations, volunteerism, support, and advocacy.

The MyCommunity program partners each of our properties with three local nonprofit organizations. We facilitate donations and volunteer opportunities between our residents and the nonprofits. Upon lease signing or renewal, residents assign a monetary donation from Domain to one of these partners, creating steady and significant financial support. 2018 donations to-date from resident lease signings and renewals currently total $22,173.00, while additional contributions and sponsorships total $85,000 to-date.

Each property further strengthens this relationship through ongoing volunteerism, specialized holiday programs, collection drives, and more.

MyCommunity also includes resident services efforts, where dedicated resident services coordinators plan programs to improve the livelihoods of our at-risk residents. Ongoing employment literacy, life skills training, health and wellness workshops, and family focused events are regularly provided.

Supporting employees as they pursue their philanthropic passions is an important part of Domain’s culture. Our team makes a maximal impact in each community by sharing marketing, development, and maintenance skills and knowledge with MyCommunity partners, in addition to scheduling volunteer time-off days.
