SALT LAKE CITY – The Domain Companies is proud to announce new local partnerships with three nonprofit organizations through its MyCommunity program at Mya: Odyssey House Utah, Ronald McDonald Charities of the Intermountain Area, and Utah Food Bank. Domain, in partnership with Giv Development, will open Mya in early 2021 in the heart of Salt Lake City. Centrally located on the TRAX line, this mixed-income apartment community will feature thoughtfully-designed, one-bedroom residences complemented by neighborhood retail.
MyCommunity partners each Domain property with three local nonprofit organizations, facilitating donations and creating volunteer opportunities for residents throughout the year. Upon lease signing or renewal, residents assign a donation from Domain to one of these partners, creating steady and significant financial support. Each property strengthens this relationship through ongoing volunteerism, specialized holiday programs, collection drives, and more.
At the heart of Domain’s investment approach is a mission to create true community value through four philanthropic pillars: social justice, food equity, environmental justice, and support of vulnerable populations. This sustained engagement effort serves to enhance the lives of residents, support local businesses, and lay the foundation for future progress and stronger communities.
“At Domain, we are committed to engaging with and giving back to the communities in which we build,” said Domain’s community engagement director Mary McCullough. “We’re thrilled to partner with these incredible nonprofit organizations that are working tirelessly to support the Salt Lake City community and making a statewide impact.”
Making significant long-term investments in the future of Utah, Domain plans to open The Shop in early 2021, a unique coworking community designed for creative collaboration. Next spring, Domain will unveil Avia, featuring luxury, mixed-income residences and anchor retail in another prime location along the TRAX line. Additional mixed-use projects are planned well into 2021 and beyond.
Odyssey House Utah Odyssey House is the leading and most respected substance use treatment center in the state of Utah. Odyssey House operates the largest continuum of care for people to affordably and safely access services in multiple settings and at any level of need.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area (RMHC) is to surround families with the support they need to be near to and care for their seriously ill or injured children. RMHC provides a home-away-from-home to ease daily burdens and empower families of hospitalized children.
Utah Food Bank The Utah Food Bank works tirelessly to make an impact and fulfil their mission of fighting hunger statewide. Through a network of 182 partner agencies located in all 29 counties, the food bank distributes food free-of-charge to partner agencies and offers direct service programs to help the most vulnerable populations in our state — children and seniors.
