New Orleans, LA – The Domain Companies, developers of the South Market District and nearby Ace Hotel, have announced the additions of The Parker, The Daily Beet, Simplee Gourmet, Blanc Beauty Bar, Zeus’ Place, and Lukka Boutique to the growing Downtown New Orleans neighborhood.
“We’re excited to introduce this diverse mix of retailers within the South Market District,” said Matt Schwartz, Principal of The Domain Companies. “The growth of Downtown New Orleans is evident as we continue to attract new residents, workers, and visitors at a rapid pace. Retail and services are an important part of that growth, and the retailers we’ve selected will all be valuable additions to the neighborhood. We’re looking forward to announcing more exciting additions in the coming months”
The Parker, a modern throwback of a classic 1920s barbershop, joins retailers Freda, Friend, and DNO at The Ace Hotel at 600 Carondelet Street. The Parker specializes in men’s grooming services and offers a variety of grooming and lifestyle essentials.
Now open in The Beacon at South Market, The Daily Beet and Simplee Gourmet have joined HigherPower and Hair Loft Studio. The Daily Beet serves clean, simple foods, using local, farm-fresh ingredients to create vibrant, healthful meals. Simplee Gourmet, an upscale kitchen boutique and culinary venue, offers high-end kitchenware and cooking products from national and local brands. Simplee Gourmet will also serve as a hub of culinary activity, presenting recreational cooking classes and specialty events.
The Beacon will also be home to the second location for Blanc Beauty Bar in May 2017, a full-service beauty salon providing manicures and pedicures. Zeus’ Place and Lukka Boutique are expected to open at The Beacon in fall 2017. Zeus’ Place will be Downtown’s first pet grooming, boarding, and retail location, while Lukka Boutique will offer high-end women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories.
The South Market District encompasses a five-block area combining luxury living with some of the city’s best retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The District, which includes The Standard, The Paramount, The Beacon, The Park, and nearby Ace Hotel, boasts over 25 shops and restaurants.
