REBEL HOUSE to Open at The Shop and Mya in Downtown Salt Lake City
January 27, 2021
Boutique fitness studio will bring cycling, running, weight training, and pop-up yoga classes to Domain’s new development in the heart of downtown.

The Domain Companies is excited to announce the spring opening of REBEL HOUSE, an inclusive boutique fitness studio offering distinctive rhythm-based indoor cycling, beat-based running / weight training classes, and pop-up yoga classes under one roof. Anchoring the new mixed-use development that houses Mya apartments and The Shop shared workspace, REBEL HOUSE will bring a new level of fitness to downtown living.

“We’re thrilled to welcome REBEL HOUSE to Mya and The Shop,” said Domain’s co-CEO Matt Schwartz. “This new fitness concept will be an incredible amenity for Mya residents and Shop members, and a valuable addition to the downtown community.”

Devin and Nina Pearson created REBEL HOUSE with the goal of building an empowering fitness environment that celebrates individuality and provides the support of a close-knit community.

“Our mission is simple: we want to create a welcoming and empowering environment that provides the opportunity for each student to push themselves to their personal best,” said the Pearsons. “We are so excited to be a part of this new development. We believe this space will be really beneficial in so many ways for Salt Lake City and cannot wait to see it flourish. More than ever, we’re bringing a new concept of fitness to people where they live and work, and this is the perfect location.”

With 2,588 square feet on the ground level of the new Mya and The Shop building, REBEL HOUSE’s third location will be located in the heart of Salt Lake City’s vibrant downtown core along the TRAX line. Amenities will include keyless lockers, shower rooms with all amenities and towels, and experienced trainers and staff. Cycling shoes will be available for rent.

The studio will expand on their original concept to offer rhythm-based high interval cycling classes—Rebel (RIDE)—and a new concept called Rebel (RUN), only offered at Mya and The Shop. RUN is a beat-based running and weightlifting class that is accessible to all fitness levels.

Each member of the REBEL HOUSE staff makes it their goal to offer students a memorable experience which tests their physical limits and encourages individual growth on the physical, personal, and spiritual level. They value the deep connections they have been able to make with clients and the Salt Lake community alike and remain committed to providing a safe and inspiring environment for each person who walks through the doors. REBEL HOUSE believes everyone has a place in any of their studios no matter their fitness level.

Domain’s new openings in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City in 2021 include Mya, a mixed-income apartment community featuring unique one-bedroom residences; The Shop, a new shared workspace concept spanning three floors and a roof deck; and Avia, luxury residences with incredible amenities, technology, and views. Additional mixed-use projects are planned in the near future. Domain, along with Giv Development, is the 2021 recipient of the Downtown SLC Achievement Award for Progressive Mixed-Use Development for Mya and Avia.

About Rebel House

Devin and Nina Pearson grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and began building businesses which served the local community at a young age. After several years of successful entrepreneurship, the Pearsons chose to follow their truest passion for health and community and opened Rebel Cycle in 2017. After only a few months in business, both were amazed at the deep community ties which they had already developed with their clients and other local businesses. Encouraged by the positive feedback and reception of the indoor cycling studio, they chose to expand their brand and develop REBEL HOUSE – an inclusive gym which offers its clients different options to get their sweat on, and multiple locations, with one membership. They offer a boxing-inspired HIIT class (RIOT), their beat based distinctive indoor cycling (RIDE), beat-based power and restore yoga classes (REHAB), and their new to the shop concept a beat-based Run / strength training class (RUN). Rebel House has won awards for “Best of Utah” from City Weekly and Nina Pearson was honored in Utah Business magazine as one of “30 Women to Watch.” www.rebel-house.com | @_rebelhouse @_rebelhouseshop @_rebelsugarhouse
