NEW ORLEANS – The Domain Companies has announced the addition of Poke Loa to the South Market District. This will be the third location for the restaurant, which is currently open on Magazine Street and under construction in Old Metairie.
“Poke Loa is thrilled to bring a healthy lunch or dinner option to New Orleans, Old Metairie, and now South Market,” said Cecile Hardy Tanguis, partner at Poke Loa. “We couldn’t be happier to add another location to the family, and are proud to bring Poke Loa to Downtown’s residents and visitors.”
Poke Loa will take over the space currently occupied by Hattie Sparks, which will close on September 2, 2017 to concentrate on e-commerce efforts and the boutique’s upcoming location in the New Orleans Airport expansion project.
“After nearly six years of bringing the best of local, Southern, and independently-made products to New Orleans, we’ve decided to shift our focus,” said Hattie Moll, owner at Hattie Sparks. “It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to build this brand from a small shop Uptown to a prime location in the South Market District, and we’re excited to see where this next step leads.”
Poke Loa’s new location will bring the same bright and cheery atmosphere as the Magazine Street site. Customers will indulge on fresh fish (delivered twice daily), fluffy rice, crunchy vegetables, and house-made sauces.
“After receiving strong retail interest in the available space, we’re excited to welcome Poke Loa to the South Market District,” said Matt Schwartz, principal at The Domain Companies. “We wish Hattie Sparks the best as they expand their business offerings, and look forward to Poke Loa enjoying much success in their new location.”
