NEW ORLEANS – The Domain Companies has announced that several new retailers are joining the South Market District with a long anticipated reopening. The already bustling neighborhood will have even more to offer with new retailers ranging from restaurants to boutiques. 

Sotre Collection, opened in August in The Beacon. The boutique offers a distinctive retail experience and features furnishings, interior design, custom linens, accessories and gifts. Sotre’s founders, professionals in interior design, are passionate about objects that are environmentally friendly and luxurious and have searched the globe to find eclectic and beautiful objects to sell in their shop. Sotre’s original location is on Magazine Street. 

District Donuts Sliders and Brew will open their fifth location in Louisiana in the fall at The Paramount. District specializes in donuts, breakfast sandwiches, sliders, and coffee and prides themselves on making everything fresh from scratch. Their South Market location will also include a full bar and continue to serve the small artisan batch coffee their patrons love. 

Tava Indian Street Food will join District this fall at The Paramount. Formerly located at Auction House Market, Tava reimagines classic Indian dishes. Owner and Chef Manish Patel’s menu includes savory lamb and shrimp plates with flavorful spices and bold sauces. Vegetarian options such as Chaat Dosa made with garbanzo beans and served with tamarind are also available. This is the first brick-and-mortar location for Tava, which will include a full bar with cocktails made to order and more. 

In the spring of 2022, Dr. Colby Terry DDS will introduce Terry Dental Aesthetics at The Standard. Terry is a concierge dental practice that brings a new twist to the medical spa world while providing an array of traditional dental services. Terry also specializes in safe and professional aesthetic facial injectables and fillers, providing extremely popular and in-demand services. 

Otra Vez, a popular South Market staple, will be safely reopening its doors to the public in October. Offering innovative Mexican cuisine and an inspiring cocktail program, Otra Vez is an 80-seat hospitality concept that lives by an eat, work and play mentality. By day Otra Vez is a light and airy space perfect for a working session or corporate offsite. By night the venue transforms for lively nightlife featuring musical programming and a speak-easy feel. Otra Vez is helmed by award-winning chef, restaurateur, TV-personality and cookbook author, Akhtar Nawab, and is known most for creative, group centric plates, unique craft cocktails and exciting programming and events. At reopening, Otra Vez will introduce outdoor seating along Rampart Street.
