New Orleans, LA – The South Market District will add another eatery to the budding neighborhood in 2017. The Daily Beet, a café serving clean, simple foods, will open at The Beacon at South Market in Downtown New Orleans.
“The Daily Beet is the perfect addition to our growing list of restaurants in the neighborhood that range from low key, casual to more upscale dining,” said Matt Schwartz, Principal of The Domain Companies, the South Market District’s developers. “No matter what your taste, there is something for everyone.”
The Daily Beet will use farm-fresh ingredients from local growers to create vibrant, healthful, and delicious treats like quinoa bowls, hearty salads, avocado toast, cold press juices, smoothies and more.
“More and more, people are becoming very aware about the foods they put into their bodies,” said Dylan Maisel, chef/owner of The Daily Beet. “I want our customers to be able to take a break from their daily grind, and enjoy an incredibly delicious and healthful meal that makes them leave feeling guilt-free and energized.”
Maisel, who also owns and operates JuiceNOLA, says The Daily Beet will offer something completely different than what can currently be found in the surrounding neighborhood.
The South Market District, an expanding five-block area, combines luxury living with some of the city’s best retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Currently, the District and nearby Ace Hotel boasts 17 shops and restaurants including Company Burger, Blaze Pizza, Magasin Kitchen, Part + Parcel, Willa Jean, Josephine Estelle, Seaworthy, and Maypop opening next month.
The Daily Beet will open its doors at The Beacon (1000 Girod Street) in Spring 2017.
