CVS/pharmacy Opens in The Park at South Market

CVS/pharmacy has officially opened its doors in The Park building at 939 Girod Street, making it the first national pharmacy chain to open in the Central Business/Arts District area since Hurricane Katrina.

New Orleans, LACVS/pharmacy has officially opened its doors in The Park building at 939 Girod Street, making it the first national pharmacy chain to open in the Central Business/Arts District area since Hurricane Katrina. The location is open seven days a week to serve the needs of Downtown New Orleans residents, workers and visitors.

“CVS is a valuable addition to the South Market District and the larger Downtown area,” said Matt Schwartz, Principal of The Domain Companies, South Market’s developers. “The store will provide much-needed services to the neighborhood and we think it will be very well-received and utilized by the community.”

CVS joins numerous retail and service offerings in The Park, including Enterprise CarShare and Zagster bike-sharing services. Electric car charging stations are available, in addition to five floors of car and bike parking. CVS is open Monday-Sunday from 7 AM-12 AM, and pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8 AM-8 PM, Saturday from 9 AM-6 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM-6 PM.
