The Crescent City Farmers Market Saturday Downtown set-up is moving after spending more than two decades at the same spot. The Market’s new home will be in the parking lot outside the May Gallery at 750 Carondelet Street!

The Domain Companies, the developer of the South Market District, is a partner in the lot and adjacent buildings and has donated the space to the gallery and market. The new location is only a few blocks from South Market District and the new Ace Hotel and will continue to help connect New Orleanians with regional farmers, fishers, and food producers.

The Saturday Market is a valuable Downtown amenity, so we’re proud to play a role in keeping the Market in the neighborhood,” said Matt Schwartz, principal of The Domain Companies. “We have welcomed hundreds of new residents and countless visitors to our nearby developments in the South Market District and at Ace Hotel, and the Market is an important addition to our community-building efforts in the area.”

The Market will begin operating at its new larger space at  Carondelet Street on  Saturday, October 1st. Until then, you can still visit the market at 700 Magazine Street.
