Ace Hotel Announces New Home in Downtown New Orleans

A room sketch for Ace Hotel New Orleans.

We’re excited to share that Ace Hotel New Orleans will open in a historic Art Deco building at 600 Carondelet Street in the Warehouse District! Designed by Weiss, Dreyfous & Seiferth, the beautiful nine-story building was constructed in 1928 and stood until the 1970s as Max Barnett’s Furniture Store.

From Ace Hotel’s press release:

To help infuse the detail and ease we love about the city into a building that captured our hearts and minds, we’ve partnered with dear friends: the renowned talent of design team Roman and Williams and our fellow Pacific Northwest brethren Stumptown Coffee Roasters, who will be opening their 10th cafe — the first in the South — at Ace Hotel New Orleans.

The Domain Companies will helm the project. Ace Hotel will open in 2016.
