Brooklyn, NY – As part of The Domain Companies’ ongoing efforts to give back to the communities in which it builds, over 50 team members from Domain’s New York staff gathered in Greenpoint’s McGolrick Park on Thursday, November 12th for a day of service. The team spent the day transforming the park, spreading over 2,000sf of wood chips for the park’s dog run, painting 360 feet of fence in the park’s main plaza, installing 255 bulbs and plants, and collecting more than 150 bags of leaves.
“We believe that facilitating regular volunteer opportunities for our employees strengthens both our company and our community,” said Aaron Amitin, Domain’s Executive Vice President. “The day was a huge success – it was wonderful to engage our whole team in a common goal determined in partnership with community stakeholders, and to see the immediate impact of our hard work. We hope to see Eleven33’s residents and neighbors continue to enjoy McGolrick Park for a long time to come.”
Domain currently has developments throughout New York City and State, including Eleven33 at 1133 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. Domain’s annual “MyCommunity Day” tradition takes its name from the company’s “MyCommunity Program,” which includes all efforts to encourage non-profit support and participation among residents and employees.
