New Orleans, LA – Enterprise CarShare, the first public car-sharing operation in New Orleans, is now available in The Park at South Market. The building, operated by Premium Parking, recently began welcoming parkers, and also features electric car charging stations accessible to the public and a Zagster bike-sharing program for The Paramount at South Market’s residents.

The car-share service is a result of the partnership between Enterprise Rent-A-Car and The Domain Companies, South Market’s developers. As the popularity of car sharing increases nationwide and the green benefits of such services take on greater importance, Enterprise CarShare’s mission of sustainable transportation is finding many supporters in New Orleans and beyond. Groups participating in the program see carbon footprint reduction and cost reduction per mile, and positioning the service in the South Market District places these sustainable benefits in the heart of Downtown New Orleans.

Enterprise CarShare in The Park features easy, automated access for users 18 years of age and up, 24/7 customer service, roadside assistance, an onboard fuel card, and a simple rental and return process. Four vehicles are being offered: three Toyota Prius and one Chrysler Town & Country van. The ultimate objective of the Domain/Enterprise partnership is to provide a cost-effective alternative to car ownership and a hassle-free supplement to public transit.

A special introductory offer is available for new members who join Enterprise CarShare by May 31. New members will receive waived application and first-year membership fees. Additionally, Enterprise CarShare is offering $5 rates valid 7 days a week on Economy and Standard through 6/30/15$5 rates valid 7 days a week on Economy and Standard through 6/30/15$5 hourly rates on all vehicles until June 30.
