Executive Team
Matt co-founded The Domain Companies with Chris Papamichael in 2004. Matt and Chris oversee the company’s development activities and are responsible for the overall management and oversight of company operations. Over the past 20 years, Matt has been involved in over $3 billion of development and capitalizations in virtually every sector of the real estate industry. Prior to launching Domain, Matt was a Senior Vice President of Related Capital, then the largest multifamily owner and financial services provider in the country. While at Related, Matt was responsible for the acquisition and development of multifamily properties throughout the United States.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He actively supports a variety of advisory and non-profit organizations, including serving as a member of the Business School Council at the A.B. Freeman School of Business, the board of Greater New Orleans, Inc., The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, The Arts Council of New Orleans, The Idea Village, Tulane Hillel, French Quarter Festivals, Inc. and as a former Chairman of the Board of Liberty’s Kitchen.
Chris co-founded The Domain Companies with Matt Schwartz in 2004. Matt and Chris oversee the company’s development activities and are responsible for the overall management and oversight of company operations. Chris has extensive experience in the identification of acquisition and development opportunities in diverse markets and real estate sectors, as well as the design, construction, and management of unique and high-quality assets.
Prior to launching Domain, Chris held positions at some of the country’s largest and most respected real estate investment and development firms, including W&M Properties, one of the country’s most successful real estate investors and owners; Crescent Heights, one of the country’s largest luxury condominium developers; and Aris Investment & Management, a New York City multifamily specialist where he was responsible for all investment and development activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University, with a concentration in Finance and Management.
Aaron co-founded and is responsible for oversight of Domain’s operating platform across all business lines. Since 2007, he has played an active role in setting the strategic direction for the company, in all aspects of development and management, and positioning Domain as an industry leader. Prior to 2007, Aaron was an Assistant Vice President of Related Capital (an affiliate of The Related Companies), then the largest multifamily financial services provider and owner of multifamily properties in the country. There he was responsible for originating, structuring, and closing multifamily acquisitions throughout the country. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Economics and a Master of Arts from Columbia University.
Vincent is responsible for the oversight of Domain's accounting, treasury, risk management, human resources functions, and for the implementation and oversight of internal controls for Domain's properties. Vincent's expertise has enabled Domain to maintain and expand its position as an industry leader in the utilization of creative financial tools to execute complex development transactions. He is also actively involved in strategic planning and development of business operations for Domain.
Prior to joining Domain, Vincent was CFO of Metro Loft Management LLC, a specialist in conversions of large Downtown New York City historic structures with a portfolio of nearly $1 billion of mixed-use assets. Prior to Metro Loft Management LLC, Vincent accumulated over eight years of public accounting experience with a strict focus on real estate and complex development incentive programs and partnership structures. Vincent holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Maryland.
Esther is responsible for the day to day operations relating to compliance and risk management. She reviews files to assure compliance with all state agencies, leases and lease renewals for accuracy, and drafts contracts and hold harmless agreements. Additionally, she offers support to the Regional Managers of both regions and works closely with the Executive Vice President on special projects. Prior to becoming the Compliance and Risk Manager, she was the Property Manager for Markham Gardens for several years. Esther holds a Certification as a Registered Apartment Manager.
Denise is responsible for supervising the development and property accounting functions for The Domain Companies. Denise establishes sound books and records for each project from acquisition, pre-development and construction through stabilization and ongoing operations. Denise provides introductory and ongoing accounting training for each property management staff member within the Domain portfolio. She is also responsible for treasury management oversight, enabling Domain to continually operate at maximum efficiency. Prior to joining Domain, Denise was a Property Accountant at The Related Companies. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Broward College in Florida.
Amy is responsible for curating, developing, and elevating interior planning and design throughout the Domain portfolio. She leads design efforts for all stages of a project including leadership with the internal project and design team. Prior to joining Domain, Amy spent over 19 years leading interior projects for some of the most creative and prestigious hospitality and commercial brands in the world. She specialized in concept-driven design stories founded in the projects’ culture, environment, and client vision. Amy has a BFA from USC and Studied Interior Design at UCLA. She also has a certificate for Architectural Photography from Central St Martins in London and Elisava University in London.
Chris is responsible for strengthening the technical foundation and guiding coworker training and communications at Domain Companies. Chris is also responsible for securing the digital operations and helping Domain to envision its technical future and making that future real for coworkers, members, and residents.
Before joining Domain, Chris worked as Vice President of Technology at Kaplow Communications – a mid-size PR and Marketing agency based in New York City. At Kaplow, Chris set the technical strategy for the organization, led technical training and engineered documentation and resource allocation systems. Over his career in technology, Chris has worked with many different sized and shaped clients from Fortune-500 retail brands to Architecture and Law firms.
Chris received his Bachelor and Master of Science from Colorado State University and hold many technical certificates in Compliance, Microsoft, AWS and Security.
Mary is responsible for the development, management and execution of Domain’s community engagement efforts in New York and Louisiana. She oversees the employee and resident MyCommunity programs, establishing and managing Domain’s nonprofit partnerships and creating programming that promotes an environment of engagement and volunteerism. Mary also supports resident services programming at the property level by developing channels to connect residents with unique, enriching programs and experiences. Prior to joining Domain, Mary worked in the public sector in education and nonprofit administration. Mary supports many local nonprofits and serves on the board of Odyssey House Louisiana and as an officer on the board of The Roots of Music. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts Degree from The University of New Orleans.
Madeleine is responsible for managing real estate transactions across Domain’s portfolio, including acquisitions, capital markets, and all components of new development from predevelopment stages through stabilization. Prior to Domain, Madeleine led over $2.5B of acquisitions and capital markets transactions in her roles with institutional real estate owners, including ARK Capital Advisors (WeWork’s $3.0B private equity arm) and the private New York development firm, Edward J. Minskoff Equities, Inc. Madeleine is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration with a concentration in Finance, Real Estate, and Accounting.
Lissete is responsible for property management oversight of Domain’s New York and Salt Lake City, Utah portfolios. She oversees the creation of, and adherence to operating budgets, financial reporting, leasing operations, performance maximization, and operating efficiency improvements. Lissete leads the professional development of Domain’s New York and Salt Lake City property teams, while maintaining a culture of excellence and exceptional customer service.
With over 15 years in the Real Estate industry, Lissete brings a wide range of experience to Domain. She has been involved in a diverse range of portfolio management ranging from multifamily rental communities, commercial properties, and conversions.
Calli is responsible for assisting the CFO with the oversight of Domain’s accounting, treasury management and internal controls across the portfolio. Her duties include financial reporting and analysis, auditor and investor correspondence, training of corporate accounting staff and accounting database and banking administration. Since joining Domain, Calli has been actively involved in executing standard operating procedures to support Domain’s growth and exemplify Domain's core values amongst the team.
Prior to becoming the Assistant Controller, Calli was Domain’s Property Accounting Director for several years. Calli holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a Master of Science in Public Accounting from Pace University.
Michael oversees current and past developments specific to architecture, design, and operations. He establishes guidelines that facilitate the design process, estimating, and implementation of our projects and pushes to streamline communication among the various internal and external stakeholders. He holds his architectural license and previously worked for CookFox and Jeff Koons in New York City, and Eskew+Dumez+Ripple in New Orleans. Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute and a Masters in Integrated Design and Construction from Auburn University.
Darren is responsible for the oversight of development construction activities. His primary responsibilities include construction budget management, contractor and consultant oversight, schedule management, quality control oversight, and coordinating the delivery of assets with the development managers. Prior to joining Domain, Darren spent 30 years in the construction industry as a general contractor, subcontractor, and construction manager. Most recently Darren worked for Vanir Construction Management as the Southeast Area Manager, where he led a team of construction managers in providing owner’s representation to a variety of local and regional clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Construction Manager by the Construction Management Association of America and a Designated Design-Build Professional from the Design-Build Institute of America.
A seasoned real estate professional with 20 years of experience in New York City, Jason Hill is able to successfully apply his extensive marketing skills to support The Domain Companies, as Marketing Director, developing strategies and executing tactics that communicate the company's brand message.
After graduating from Indiana University, Jason began working in the real estate industry where he closely collaborated with the industry’s leaders and built a proven track record to market institutional developers and their assets. He harbors an extensive knowledge of marketing trends, industry statistics, and new development design; guiding 26 mixed-use new development projects throughout all 5 boroughs and Miami, where he has played a key role from the conceptual phase to stabilization—ensuring the perfection of every detail. Jason has a thorough understanding of the ever-expanding New York City neighborhoods and their intricacies, which enables him to create exceptional marketing campaigns that captivate and engage at the highest level.
Casie is responsible for property management oversight of Domain’s Louisiana portfolio, including day-to-day management of on-site staff to ensure the most efficient delivery of customer service. She oversees the creation of, and adherence to, operating budgets; completion of operating reports; leasing operations; performance maximization; and operating efficiency improvements. Casie also spearheads the professional development of Domain’s Louisiana-based property managers and support staff, while working to maintain a culture of excellence. Casie received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Tulane University.
With over a decade of experience in the New York City new development industry, Chris Wendel brings unparalleled expertise and a proven track record of success to The Domain Companies. Throughout his career, Chris has collaborated with some of the most prominent developers in New York City, shaping iconic landscapes and contributing to the city's ever-evolving skyline.
Having a keen eye for detail, Chris meticulously manages every aspect of the leasing process. From identifying strategic opportunities to executing tailored leasing strategies, he ensures optimal results while maximizing property value.
Anne Olsen is the Director of Coworking for The Domain Companies, overseeing coworking operations in New Orleans and Salt Lake City, as well as the scaling and growth of the brand itself. Anne is dedicated to fostering dynamic and inclusive communities that encourage collaboration, innovation, and growth.
Before joining Domain, Anne worked in the arts, media, community building and nonprofit sectors, honing skills in event coordination, communication, and public relations. Recognized for leadership and advocacy in organizations like Young Professionals Salt Lake City, the Utah Independent Business Coalition, and the Salt Lake City Small Business Advisory Board, Anne leverages her expertise to promote and support the growing tech and coworking markets. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and is experienced building place based, bespoke communities built to last.
Tiphani serves as the People & Culture Project Coordinator in Domain’s New York office. Our NY team relies on Tiphani to support our Corporate office in the areas of office management, administrative assistance, and employee engagement. Prior to Domain, Tiphani worked as an Administrative Assistant / Operations Assistant for NYC Catholic and Charter schools. Tiphani holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Suny Empire State College.
Scott coordinates and aides operations across multiple departments both in the corporate office and at site-level. He provides day-to-day, portfolio-wide operational support and oversight for management programs, as well as analysis and implementation for new product development. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University, and serves on the board of the Committee for a Better New Orleans.
Christian is responsible for performing functions as they relate to Domain's real estate development and construction processes, working in multiple capacities to support all projects from the pre-development phase through stabilization. His primary duties include project analysis and due diligence, retail leasing and construction coordination, and advising the management and marketing departments on special projects. Christian has spent close to ten years in the real estate development field as both an employee at respected development firms and as an independent consultant. Christian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters of Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University.
Jeimy works a Project Coordinator with the Domain LA Team. She supports all of the departments in Louisiana, as well as coordinates our development group’s busy travel and meeting schedules. Prior to joining Domain, Jeimy worked in hospitality, and as a Project Coordinator at The Creative Alliance of New Orleans, where her love of giving back to the community was effectively utilized and steadily grew. Jeimy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Orleans.
Elizabeth is an Accounts Receivable Coordinator on the accounting team in New York. Elizabeth is responsible for posting resident’s ledger transactions, processing, and recording intercompany payments. In addition, Elizabeth reviews resident move-out packages, post-deposit accounting, move-in audits procedures, and security deposit allocations. Prior to joining Domain, Elizabeth was an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Manhattan Valley Management Company for three years. She is currently pursuing an accounting degree at New York City Technical College.
Gary works directly under the New York Regional Manager and occasionally the Executive Vice President to support and implement property level initiatives with a focus on improving the operating income and operating efficiencies of the portfolio. Gary has over five years of experience in real estate, having worked in construction project management as well as office facilities management at NVS and as a property manager for two New York City real estate portfolios. He graduated from Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and has a post-graduate certificate in construction management from Baruch College.
Caroline is the Payroll & Benefits Specialist located in the New Orleans office. As part of the People & Culture team, she is responsible for full-cycle payroll administration, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance and administration as well as overall support for her fellow People & Culture team members. Prior to joining Domain, Caroline worked as a Human Resources Manager for Baumer Foods where she supported her team with a multitude of HR functions. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans
Alexandria is the People & Culture Generalist located in the New Orleans office. Alexandria is responsible for supporting our leaders in recruitment, onboarding, team member engagement, retention, employee relations, and performance management.
Prior to joining Domain, Alexandria honed her expertise in multiple HR functions with an award-winning experiential production company and prominent brands, including Virgin Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels & Residences. A career highlight for her was partnering with YouthForce Nola, where she supervised and mentored high school students through a transformative 5-week internship program. Alexandria attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is an active member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television & Radio Artists
Elliot works with Domain’s real estate development team, focusing on the financial analysis and due diligence of new and existing developments. He supports projects through initial pre-development stages to stabilization. Elliot holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Tulane University.
Eddie LeBoeuf III, CAMT+L+E, Regional Maintenance Supervisor at Domain Companies. Responsible for maintenance operations for the New Orleans properties. He works with team members, vendors, and contractors to insure that the New Orleans properties are running effectively and up to Domain’s high standards. He previously worked at 1st Lake Properties as their Maintenance Inspector for almost 10 years. He has trained property managers and maintenance techs for the Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans and during his time at 1st Lake. He is a CAMT Instructor, Licensed Master Plumber, Certified Mold Inspector, and Accredited Continuing Education Instructor for Louisiana Master and Journeyman Plumbing License renewals through the PHCC of Louisiana. He is an active Toastmaster who earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) credential and was Area Director of the Year in 2019.
Melissa is responsible for supporting the development and corporate accounting functions for The Domain Companies. She oversees treasury management, reviews and audits journal entries for corporate/development entities and implements monthly closing processes. While working closely with the Development Accounting Director, Melissa is also involved with construction accounting functions for all projects from pre-development through stabilization, which includes budget tracking and executing monthly requisitions. Prior to joining Domain, Melissa worked with the Right of Way/Site Acquisition team at The Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery, post Hurricane Sandy. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. John’s University – Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
Shelida is responsible for managing and processing all Accounts Receivable at Domain’s corporate offices. Her duties include reviewing and posting resident ledger transactions, reviewing resident move-in packages, processing security deposit refunds, performing move-in audit procedures, and creating and implementing accounts receivables policies and procedures. Shelida’s experience prior to Domain includes stints at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, the United Nations, and as an Accounts Receivable Specialist with the Pension Boards-United Church of Christ. Shelida holds a Degree in Applied Science in Business Accounting from Hudson Valley Community College.
Chandra is the People & Culture Manager supporting our New York corporate office and properties. From payroll administration to leadership coaching and recruitment, Chandra is a partner and coach to her business leaders. Her passion for employee engagement shapes our team member experience from day one to year 15 and beyond. Prior to joining Domain, Chandra worked at Macy’s Corporate as an HR Business Partner supporting their Marketing group. Chandra holds a B.A Degree from State University Of New York Old Westbury.
Chloe works with Domain’s real estate development team, focusing on the financial analysis and due diligence of new and existing properties. She supports projects through initial pre-development stages to stabilization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Tulane University with a minor in Real Estate.
Melanie is responsible for financial reporting, annual audits, monthly accounting activities, and other essential accounting functions for Domain’s operating portfolio. Melanie holds an MBA from Baruch College-Zicklin School of Business and has over 15 years of real estate-related accounting experience.
Gerald serves as the Risk Management Associate for the Compliance & Risk Management team in Domain’s New York office. The Risk department relies on Gerald to ensure that all vendors are appropriately vetted, draft contracts & hold harmless agreements, manage insurance claims, and adhere to NYC local laws. Before joining Domain, Gerald was a porter for seventeen years, and a property manager for two years. He currently holds his OSHA30 and Multifamily Building Analyst certificates, in addition to being a Registered Apartment Manager.
Juan is responsible for supporting the development accounting functions for Domain. His duties include processing invoices for the development of new properties, processing corporate AMEX reports, recording journal/receipt entries for the monthly management fees, and assisting with monthly closing processes. Prior to joining Domain, Juan worked for Allipack, a multinational company that specializes in the production of packaging for the food industry. Juan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.
