November 18, 2015
The Domain Companies, a local real estate development and management company, partnered with the Louisiana Children’s Museum to spend a day improving the museum’s space in Downtown New Orleans.

New Orleans, LA – As part of The Domain Companies’ ongoing efforts to give back to the communities in which it builds, over 30 team members from Domain’s Louisiana staff gathered in Downtown New Orleans’ Louisiana Children’s Museum on Monday, November 17th for a day of service. The team spent the day focusing on long-term capital improvements, removing and replacing the flooring in the Children’s Café; donating the necessary tools and equipment; sanding and painting dozens of stools and benches; organizing storage rooms; and restoring exhibits.

“The Children’s Museum plays an important role in the lives of New Orleans families, and we were proud to engage our employees in a common goal while strengthening both our company and community bonds,” said Matt Schwartz, Domain’s Principal and Co-Founder. “We worked with the Museum to understand their needs, and our team was eager to contribute their time and energy to the high-impact projects that were chosen. We hope to see Domain’s local residents and neighbors enjoy the improvements to the Museum.”

Domain currently has developments throughout Louisiana, including The Paramount (current) and The Beacon (under construction) in the South Market District in Downtown New Orleans. Domain’s annual “MyCommunity Day” tradition takes its name from the company’s “MyCommunity Program,” which includes all efforts to encourage resident and employee support for local non-profits making a difference in their communities.
