New Orleans, LA: The Domain Companies, developers of the Ace Hotel New Orleans and nearby South Market District, welcomes lifestyle brands FRIEND, FREDA, and DEFEND NEW ORLEANS (DNO), now open inside the Ace Hotel at 600 Carondelet Street in Downtown New Orleans.

Every retailer is an important piece of this vibrant community.”
FRIEND officially opened its doors in June. The menswear boutique recently launched its first branded line of products, specializes in casual and resort-inspired clothing and embraces the fun side of contemporary men’s style. The boutique showcases clothes and goods made especially for FRIEND in collaboration with local artists, illustrators, and craftspeople.
DNO, a much-loved locally-printed clothing and accessories shop, has been impacting the New Orleans community by supporting local nonprofits, hosting events, and producing creative content since the opening of its original location in 2003. DNO’s second location at the Ace Hotel, opened in early July, is a showcase for new products and collaborations, as well as an experiential laboratory for events and community building.
This is the second location for FREDA, native to Marfa, TX and new to New Orleans. Freda opened in early July and provides a space for local artists and makers to showcase and share their work. Freda carries a carefully chosen selection of clothing, jewelry and accessories, apothecary, home and travel goods, gifts, art objects, hand-picked vintage, locally made wares, and other special items.
The South Market District encompasses a burgeoning five-block area Downtown of luxury apartments at The Beacon and The Paramount as well as retail, restaurants and entertainment venues including Willa Jean, Magasin Kitchen, Company Burger, Blaze Pizza, Part + Parcel, Arhaus Furniture, Hattie Sparks and Stonefree boutiques, Barre3 and Higherpower fitness studios, Hair Loft Studio, Simplee Gourmet kitchenware, and the nearby Ace Hotel.
