When the confetti falls and the clock strikes midnight, it will close a busy year for Domain and start another exciting one.

In the last twelve months, Domain has expanded its work building and strengthening communities by opening new properties, announcing new additions and milestones, and revamping our community engagement efforts.

Here’s a look back at some of the year’s highlights:

Recognition

In October, Eleven33 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, was honored with the Multi-Family Executive Project of the Year – Mixed Income award. The award was the second major recognition for Eleven33 in 2015, as the property also achieved LEED Gold status for its environmentally sustainable design.

New Development

New Orleans’ South Market District development welcomed residents at The Paramount, which in March became the first luxury apartment community in New Orleans to be awarded LEED Silver Certification. A number of new restaurants joined residents in calling South Market home this year, including the acclaimed Willa Jean Bakery along with Blaze Pizza, local favorite Company Burger, and Magasin Kitchen. Additionally, boutiques Hattie Sparks and Stonefree joined Arhaus Furniture, CVS, and fitness studio Barre3 in the District.

Community Engagement

This year also saw a renewed commitment to our MyCommunity engagement program. In July, Domain welcomed a full-time Community Engagement Manager who has focused on further establishing purposeful community relationships, adding a new employee Volunteer Time Off program, developing highly successful holiday service projects in New York and Louisiana, and organizing two volunteer days with local non-profits.

Looking Ahead

As exciting as 2015 was, 2016 will be even brighter! In Baton Rouge, The Addison will join The High Grove as Domain’s second development in the area. The South Market District will welcome Part & Parcel restaurant and Higher Power NOLA fitness studio, and will open its second residence, The Beacon, for pre-leasing in February. The Standard condominium project, the next phase of the District, will begin construction and sales in mid-2016. The Ace Hotel New Orleans will open its doors, and a highly-anticipated restaurant from Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman will join Ace’s growing list of retailers!

What a year and what a year to come. We can’t wait for what’s next!
